The most traditional surf tournament in South America, the Pro Contest, has as main stage Praia da Cacimba (Cacimba Beach) and its tubular waves going up to 15 feet in its best days.

The last tournament edition counted with 124 surfers from 16 different countries and the great champion was the Brazilian Raoni Monteiro winning S$12.000, 00 and 2500 points in WQS ranking.

2009 edition doesn't have an official date yet, but it'll occur, almost for certain between January and February, relying in the prevision for waves.
