Nossa Senhora dos Remédios

On August 29th, the festivities to pay homage to Nossa Senhora dos Remédios guarantee liveliness day and night in the central village of Noronha. In the environs of the traditional church, worshippers, natives and tourists participate in the religious and secular celebrations. The festival is celebrated every year in various cities of Brazil and Portugal.

In Fernando de Noronha, a solemn luminous procession of the image of Nossa Senhora dos Remédios begins at the school Arquipélago de Fernando de Noronha and makes its way to the Matriz Church. As in many other festivities in Brazil, Nossa Senhora dos Remédios Festival includes processions, music, and places to eat and drink following the religious celebration.
